Dr. Bauer grew up in the Chicago area and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois. He joined Lake Forest Pediatrics in 1988 and is an assistant professor of pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Bauer is currently the medical director of Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, where he previously served as the chief of pediatrics and is a past president of the medical staff and hospital board member. He has been a presenter at “House Calls” Women’s Health Advisory Council events and women’s hospital board meetings, and is actively involved with teaching medical students and pediatrics residents at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. He enjoys cycling, physical fitness, travel, and all Chicago sports. Dr. Bauer and his wife have three children and are the proud grandparents of four beautiful grandchildren.
