Effective Saturday, July 9, blood draw services will no longer be available at our Lindenhurst and Vernon Hills locations. Patients who require blood drawn for testing are welcome to visit our Lake Bluff location Monday – Friday between the hours of
10 a.m. – 5 p.m., OR our offices can also recommend local draw stations in
Lindenhurst, Vernon Hills, Gurnee, Grayslake and Lake Forest.

Unfortunately, Lake Forest Pediatrics is not able to participate in any of the BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois Blue Choice plans.

While we are happy to continue providing healthcare services to Blue Choice members, we highly encourage you to contact your insurance carrier to verify your benefits and eligibility. Many times out-of-network medical services are not reimbursed and/or applied to separate out-of-network deductibles causing patients to incur higher out of pocket costs.

Sign Up for estatements!

Lake Forest Pediatrics announces the addition of estatements to our available offerings for busy parents.

Now, parents can choose to receive their Lake Forest Pediatrics statements electronically. Electronic statements can help parents reduce paperwork, saving time and postage.

With our new estatement option, receive your Lake Forest Pediatrics statements electronically and pay bills online. Instructions to join the program will be included with your next paper statement. The instructions will direct you to a website where you may sign up for estatements and/or make electronic payments.

Sign up and manage payments online or continue to receive paper statements in the mail. The choice is yours.

Nov. 1 is the start date for consumers to purchase 2016 health insurance coverage through the federal and state health insurance exchanges, established by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA).  Make sure your doctors are in-network before enrolling in a new plan.

Shipments of the flu mist vaccine are currently delayed by the manufacturer.  At present it is estimated that we may receive additional supply by the end of November.  The flu shot is available and recommended as an alternative.  AAP News Article

Our office has received a limited supply of the flu mist, which was offered on a first come first served basis.  We will do our best to honor those patients who are currently booked for the flu mist.  Thank you for your understanding.

Flu is a virus that can cause serious health problems for otherwise healthy kids. Immunization reduces the risk of serious problems and protects other vulnerable family members.

While a retail-based pharmacy that gives flu shots may seem like an attractive alternative for busy families, there are definite advantages to immunizing your child at your pediatrician’s office. 

Flu vaccines are now available at Lake Forest Pediatric Associates in both forms – flu mist and flu shots. Flu vaccination appointments can be scheduled by calling 847-295-1220.
